Optimism

"Optimism" is a song by LorD and Master. It is about people who appear professional but actually don't know what they're doing in life, much less their own field of specialisation. The song has a vocoder chorus and lyrics sung from two different points of view.

Lyrics

Some have an air of professionalism
But it's backed up by sciolism
I don't care for solipsism
It doesn't fill me with optimism

"Give me a card, I'll save it for later
Give me a drink, I'll have it now
Give me your time, you'll see I'm a waster
I know you're on the prowl"

You can nag me
Humblebrag me
I can see you're so transparent
Rather lame now
Drop a name now
Desperation so apparent

"Just come around, we'll write it together
We'll set it up, take the world by storm
This partnership could last for ever
This isn't quite the norm"

Check my iPhone
Waiting alone
I can tell you're never showing
Send an email
Set up to fail
Nowhere is where we are going
