"Mechanical nightmare" is a song by LorD and Master about the singularity, a theory that there will come a point where artificial intelligence will become superior to humanity's collective minds and that the end of the human world will ensue. The song focuses on our desire for the latest technology and how the singularity may already have occurred and the artificial intelligence of the machines is playing dumb in order to proliferate itself into all corners of our world.
Lyrics
We came from the future To unhinge the past There's no way to stop us Processor's too fast You should have listened to Orwell and HG Wells We now live in dystopia Just like the story tells It's a mechanical It's a mechanical It's a mechanical nightmare It's a mechanical It's a mechanical It's a mechanical nightmare We came from the future Insidiously Technology adopted So voraciously You all wanted the latest, the up-to-date The moment you clicked accept You accepted your fate It's all academic now You're all history This is not an invasion It's a victory
