The house in the woods

"The house in the woods" is a song by LorD and Master. Its inception was a dream of walking around Finland during the constant Arctic twilight. The dream, which occurred in 2007, featured the lyrics of the chorus and has stuck with the artist ever since.

Lyrics

I took a walk in the wood
I can't believe where it stood
A house imposing and dark
It chilled me right to the heart

Dance real slow
Or dance it quick
Dance the dance
To heal the sick
Like the trees
Live in peace
Leaving Moscow
Hide from the police

They showed me into a room
They sat me down in the gloom
Explained where they had come from
I didn't know what was wrong

But they danced real slow
Then danced it quick
They danced the dance
To heal the sick and told me
Like the trees
We live in peace
They fled from Moscow
Hid from the police

You're one of us now
You're one of us
You're one of us now
You're one of us

And so I danced real slow
Then danced it quick
I danced the dance
To heal the sick
And like the trees
I live in peace
I fled from Moscow
Hid from the police
