On the road

"On the road" is a song by LorD and Master which simply lays out his enjoyment of road trips. The title of the track came about after the closure of local LGBTQ+-friendly venue frequented by Dan, The Forbidden Fruit, where a Facebook group was organised called "Fruit - on the road". Dan always felt slight disappointment when arriving at the destination after a really good ride in a car, though he cannot, himself, drive. The music, the scenery, the enjoyment of it all is just so soothing and agreeable. Getting caught in traffic, however, is not cool.

Lyrics

We're on the road again
We're running round this place
We never want to slow it down

It can't be easier
Competing in this race
Just put your foot down to the ground

Don't you mind me
Don't confine me
Wherever we're going
It's the best

On the road
Travelling home

Watch as the cars fly by
Feel the wind in your hair
I know it's gonna be okay

Through the rolling hills
Feeling no worse for wear
Thanks to the comforts on the way
