"Emptiness" is a song by LorD and Master and is the B-side to "Cold sweat", the last single to be taken from the album, Demeanour. The song examines the struggle to keep other people happy when you're suffering from depression. The strength it takes to smile and put on a brave face, despite the fact you may be crying in agony inside.
Lyrics
A feeling of emptiness pervades Another depression invades your mind Where has the laughter gone today? You've gone through all of those ways to unwind It's all you can do to wear a smile on your face And everyone expects you to perform at your usual pace It's OK It'll be all right You'll put up a damned good fight The emptiness You feel inside Won't be for ever, it'll subside It'll subside You'll just have to wait out this storm Until you can get back to the norm, someday You keep it all locked up inside All this mounting pressure has fried your brain It'll subside It'll subside It'll subside It'll subside
