"Free will" is a song by LorD and Master about the concept of free will and how not subscribing to its idea removes all responsibility. If fate or a deity is in control of everything that happens, why bother doing anything at all? The narrator of the song realises this and then changes their mind about how they view their relationship.
Lyrics
Fate What happens happens It’s great There’s no responsibility Then I find everything is Upside-down There’s a struggle in my mind Going round and round If I had free will I’d still Be with you If I had to choose To lose it all I would refuse Sense Past, present, future, future perfect Tense Do cause and effect have an affect Suddenly my world view is flipped Upside-down There’s a struggle in my mind Going round and round If I had free will I’d still Be with you If I had to choose To lose it all I would refuse Touching you Is ecstasy Electric charge Of you and me In that moment I changed my mind We each choose our own Path to find Fate We’re in control of it It’s great It’s life’s rich tapestry Every now and then things can turn Upside-down There’s a struggle in my mind Going round and round Because I have free will I am still With you And if I had to choose To lose it all I would refuse It’s because I have free will That I am still With you And if I had to choose To lose it all I would refuse
