From LorD and Master Knowledge

"Heartbeats" is a song by The Knife, made famous by José González and covered by LorD and Master. The production of the LorD and Master version is based on the live rendition by The Knife during their Audio Visual Experience tour, which promoted their album Silent Shout. During the recording of the vocals, Dan was so pleased with the minimal production, he couldn't stop smiling.

Lyrics

One night to be confused
One night to speed up truth
We had a promise made
Four hands and then away
Both under influence
We had divine scent
To know what to say
Mind is a razorblade

One night of magic rush
The start, a simple touch
One night to push and scream
And then relief
Ten days of perfect tunes
The colours red and blue
We had a promise made
We were in love

To cry for hands of above
To lean on
Wouldn't be good enough
For me, no
To cry for hands of above
To lean on
Wouldn't be good enough
For me, no

And you
You knew the hand of the Devil
And you
Kept us awake with wolves' teeth
Sharing different heartbeats
In one night

You knew the hand of the Devil
