Hyponyms album art

Hyponyms is a collection of symphonic versions of LorD and Master songs. Released on 21 July 2023, this album is something of a departure for the artist.

Concept

The idea behind the album was to create symphonic versions of LorD and Master songs that lend themselves to being orchestrated in such a way. The name Hyponyms means a word with greater specificity; so "dog" is a hyponym of "animal" just as these versions are more specific version of the original songs. Hyponyms is an anagram of "symphony". The design of the album art came about by thinking about the organic feel of all but one of the tracks. They are each created using samples of orchestral instruments and the final track reintroduces LorD and Master's trademark synths in order to ease the listener to the next album.
