"Indigo child" is a song by LorD and Master inspired by a piece about so-called Indigo children by the British journalist Jon Ronson in his book Lost at Sea. Indigo children are supposedly highly-evolved humans who are reported to exhibit signs of super-human abilities, such as telepathy and ESP, though these claims are refuted and the children involved are often diagnosed with mental disorders.
Lyrics
I sit here blinking Do you know what I'm thinking Are you in tune with me Is this your ESP Extra-sensory perception Or is it deception Gullible family Or just ADHD You seem so strange You seem so wild Indigo child You seem to have Your innocence defiled Indigo child I don't know if you're truly Mystical or unruly I disagree with them Bring out the DSM Get a diagnosis For this psychosis You'll spend your life depressed Unless you get NHSed It's all a great Mystery Indigo child Could you live life As well as me Indigo child
