Pour the wine

"Pour the wine" is a song by LorD and Master from the album, Definitely. The song details a date in a high-rise apartment in an inner city - London was in mind for the writing - and watching the cars and streetlights flickering out-of-focus because all that's on the mind of the protagonist is how stunning their date looks.

Lyrics

Looking from the balcony
Across the city
See the firefly street lights
Dancing for you and me

I won’t look further
For another
Right now, we have it all
We’ve got each other

You look unbelievable
But seeing is believing
I’ll start the music
It’s as chilled as the evening

I’ll pour the wine for you
The lighting is low
There’s a sparkle in your eyes
Somehow you seem to glow

As the stars come out
You lean in to me
I can barely contain myself
What it means to be free
