Rum and Coke

"Rum and Coke" is a song by LorD and Master about being on holiday and enjoying the sun and good companionship, but knowing that the shadow of returning home is cast and getting longer as the days wear on.

Lyrics

The sun dips down low
The beads of sweat show
Time for another smoke
And then a rum and Coke
The sun, the sand, the sea
And you beside me

What's passed will stay passed
The sun will never last
This time goes so fast
The shadows long cast

The wind's getting up
It's time to wrap up
I'll laugh at your joke
And then a rum and Coke
Home fires burning
The world keeps turning
