Six40 artwork.

Six40is a EP by LorD and Master. It was released on 23 September 2012 and was a collection of five LorD and Master renditions of pieces of music used in video games and one introductory track, whose name matches the release.

Concept

The idea behind Six40 was that, as a gamer, LorD and Master wanted to pay homage to some of his favourite pieces of music used in video games. The tracks were selected arbitrarily and there were some pieces that didn't make it onto the EP and were, in fact, never produced, including themes for Worms, Tetris and Cannon Fodder. The name was selected as a one-word title that harks to screen resolutions that, in some platform or other, each of the video games were released on: 640x480 pixels. The artwork was made to resemble the game Marble Madness.
