"A 4am lament" is a song (written at around 4am) about how pain is supposed to subside over time, but perhaps it doesn't and you just kinda get used to it. LorD and Master wrote this for the album Dialogue.
Lyrics
Staring at a TV that isn’t on Wondering where you’ve gone My tea went cold so long ago I can’t believe how I could be so wrong I close my eyes to try to sleep But then the tears come and I weep Time goes at a glacial pace Perhaps sanity is not mine to keep It’s a 4am lament I don’t know what my mother meant When she said that Time heals all wounds The clock is ticking on its way Will I still be like this at the break of day I wish I could talk to you But then, I wouldn’t know what to say It’s a 4am lament I don’t know what my mother meant When she said that Time heals all wounds
