Lyrics
Angels with dirty faces Brought down to their knees Taken from familiar places Dealing daily with the extremes If you knew the half of it You'd find a fairer way As it is, we're flying blind So stay away until they say They go above and beyond We owe them our lives They are our siblings, our husbands and wives Pleading with all that they've got: stay at home If you come through those doors You'll be alone The streets are empty It's apocalypse now But they're not the ones To go on and throw in the towel If you knew the half of it You'd find a fairer way As it is, we're flying blind So stay away until they say They go above and beyond We owe them our lives They are our siblings, our husbands and wives Pleading with all that they've got: stay at home If you come through those doors You'll be alone If you knew the half of it You'd find a fairer way As it is, we're flying blind So stay away until they say They go above and beyond We owe them our lives They are our siblings, our husbands and wives Pleading with all that they've got: stay at home If you come through those doors You'll be alone You'll be alone You'll be alone
