Lockdown is an album by LorD and Master released 24 May 2020 during the worldwide Covid-19 novel coronavirus pandemic. The songs centre around this subject.

Concept

Since everyone was (and still is at the time of writing) affected by the global pandemic, being under lockdown in the UK, it made sense to write an album that focused on the thoughts and feelings surrounding this phenomenon. The design of the album cover was to take the 'design' of the coronavirus as a silhouette and make it look airborne, with some depth of field effects. The proceeds of the album, less the distributor's fees (it was released on BandCamp only) went to UK-based healthcare charities to help in the effort to mitigate the effects of the virus. To promote the album, Neil Francis selected his favourite two songs from the album and provided vocals for them, recording them at home in Great Yarmouth and sending them to LorD and Master for mixing in Coventry. The result was a two-track single, with "Long nights, long days" as the lead of the single and "Above and beyond" as the B-side.
