"Autumn leaves" is a song by LorD and Master from the album Fractured. The song is an ex-lover reflecting on the time of year that their former partner left them. The song's structure is rather non-traditional as there is only really one verse and chorus, which is repeated as the song grows. The piano used in this track, right from the start, also emulates the sound of the pianist shifting on a slightly creaky piano stool, which can also be heard in the track.

Lyrics

It’s always the same
When the leaves are falling down
I wish you’d remained
When autumn comes around

There’s a chill in the air
It reminds me of that day
You didn’t let me prepare
For when you went away
