"Daddy issues" is a song by LorD and Master. From the album Queer, the song is based on a quote by Christopher Hitchens (1949 - 2011) that suggested that the right-wing evangelical branches of organised religions have an absent father whom they are always trying to please.
Lyrics
I'm not your fucking therapist I'll listen if you so insist But don't go thinking I'll hand you tissues I'm not gonna help you to solve Shit that you can't even resolve But I've got two words Daddy issues My father's absent too What excuse does it confer to you That means you can act the way you do A much-prophesised return A scorched earth you helped to burn What makes you think any of this is true Off you go Into the future Off you go Into the night I'm not your fucking therapist I'll listen if you so insist But don't go thinking I'll hand you tissues I'm not gonna help you to solve Shit that you can't even resolve But I've got two words Daddy issues Daddy issues Daddy issues Daddy issues Daddy issues Off you go Into the future Off you go Into the night I'm not your fucking therapist I'll listen if you so insist But don't go thinking I'll hand you tissues I'm not gonna help you to solve Shit that you can't even resolve But I've got two words Daddy issues Daddy issues Daddy issues
