"Days gone by" is a song by Peter Nugent and LorD and Master about reflecting on great times. The song was written as a direct response to the closure of local LGBTQ+-friendly venue The Forbidden Fruit.
Lyrics
We were looking to have some fun Found somewhere as warm as the sun It burns on now, we're made to fly Will never forget, these days gone by It wasn't far that we would roam Found a place we could stay and call home But that was a different time We hear the final bells chime The end will always be A new beginning An errant memory Leaves me grinning
