"Don't you want me" is a song by LorD and Master featuring Coventry-based rapper Sir Kit. The song, originally by The Human League was selected for inclusion in the Featuring album after it was completed as it seemed to fit perfectly with the project.
Lyrics
You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar When I met you I picked you out, I shook you up and turned you around Turned you into someone new Now five years later on, you've got the world at your feet Success has been so easy for you But don't forget it's me who put you where you are now And I can put you back down too Don't Don't you want me You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me Don't Don't you want me You know I don't believe you when you say you don't need me It's much too late to find You think you've changed your mind You'd better change it back or we will Both be sorry Don't you want me, baby Don't you want me oh-oh-oh-oh Don't you want me, baby Don't you want me oh-oh-oh-oh I can't believe that you don't want me Dead inside, turning into a zombie I pulled you up and I pushed forward How d'you what for you to just drop me I could be sorry I could be lonely I could let out that you are a phoney But the best thing for me to do right now Is to leave you with your new homies Leaving you was the best thing ever Yes, I thought that it was for ever Yes, I thought that we'd be together When we split people were like, "never!" Now I'm a new man, doing my own thing Late at night, it's me that you're phoning Blocked your number and blocked your social Left your life and I will keep going Don't Don't you want me You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me Don't Don't you want me You know I don't believe you when you say you don't need me It's much too late to find You think you've changed your mind You'd better change it back or we will Both be sorry Don't you want me, baby (don't you want me?) Don't you want me oh-oh-oh-oh Don't you want me, baby (don't you want me?) Don't you want me oh-oh-oh-oh Don't you want me, baby Don't you want me oh-oh-oh-oh Don't you want me, baby (don't you want me?) Don't you want me oh-oh-oh-oh Don't you want me, baby Don't you want me oh-oh-oh-oh Don't you want me, baby Don't you want me oh-oh-oh-oh
