Something wicked this way comes

"Something wicked this way comes" is a song by LorD and Master from the album Fractured. The whole song is a metaphor for a feeling of dread. The metaphor has the protagonists of the song stuck in shark-infested waters with an evil presence making its way closer and closer. There is, for reasons nobody can quite remember, there's a reference to the renegade Time Lord, the Master, from the Doctor Who universe ("can't you hear it/the sound of drums"). Perhaps this sheds light on who the protagonists are, stranded in the boat...

Lyrics

Something wicked this way comes
I don’t know if I can handle it
Can’t you hear it? The sound of drums
We’re all afloat

Drifting on an ocean, wide
We’re lost at sea
Pulled around by the tide
Come, rescue me

Something wicked this way comes
There’s nothing left to do but tackle it
I’ve got the brains, you’ve got the guns
Let’s move this boat

Forewarned is forearmed
We’ve got it planned
Together, we live a life so charmed
So, take my hand
