"Modern age" is a song by LorD and Master, appearing on the album, Up. The song began as Dan doodling chords and he thought it sounded like a hymn, so he decided to write a hymn for the modern age, about inclusivity and hoping to see the end of hatred in this world regardless of race, sexual orientation or, of course, any other feature of someone's individuality.

Lyrics

I’ve got a hymn for the modern age
I’m gonna sing it cloud and clear
Black or white, be you straight or gay
Everyone’s always welcome here

This is our one life
Make it a good life
Make it one you won’t forget
It’s such a short life
I know you love life
Make it one you won’t regret

Looking back over the years
We made one big mistake
We need to get it all right
Teach your children to let
Go of the hate
Make a future worthy of the fight

Just because you’re different from me
Doesn’t mean I’ll cast you out
It’s time to put that thought to bed
We’re all born the same
As individuals
We all end up the same when dead
